Now that I am home in Seattle I have been missing Hawaii very much, so I offer my reflections on being there and the work that I made. I feel lucky to have spent time there, making new friendships and renewing old. Much thanks to Rick Mills for inviting me to be a sabbatical replacement for him at the University of Hawaii. Wind and Manoa I left a lot of the blown work in Honolulu at The Fine Arts Associates. or you can see some of it on my website the Jewelry on my site has a new fresh look to it! please take time to look at it. So – I have been working on organizing a catalog of my Soft Sculpture that will be available beginning at the opening of my show at Traver Gallery in April of 2011. I am excited, as I do not have a catalog featuring this work as of yet. There will be images of the finished work as well as a montage of the process of making the glass elements all the way through the making of a whole piece. The written contributions are from Dick Marquis, Stuart Kestenbaum and myself; Sarah Traver will design it. As times are tough I am publishing it on my own, but I am asking everyone to help me!
